Conclusions

A reduced neuron model network can produce repetitive bursting activity with near simultaneous termination in all modeled neurons

Applying external stimuli of sufficient strength to bursting neuronal networks can terminate the bursting activity in these networks

Increasing the strength and frequency of a random excitatory background in bursting neuronal networks can terminate the bursting activity in these networks

Relatively weak external stimuli can terminate bursting activity in networks with long excitatory feedback loops.
