A) is applied on the input of three neurons in the center of the array for 2 sec per iod at the beginning (first 20 frames). Contrary to a network without inhibition, (Fig. 2) there is no regul ar pattern of ring-like waves. Even during the period of stimulation irregular pattern emerges. Overall acti vity is decreased in comparison with activity in network without inhibition shown in Fig. 2.
